I have one with a liter less of displacement than yours. They’re great fun.

Like Slant6, I also have an E34. Same displacement, but mine has 2 more cylinders. And it’s a wagon.

There was no V8 offered with this displacement...

Paid beater price for it, so yes.

530i. 3.0L V8. It’s tiny as all hell.

This is a 3.5
I also owned one with the 3.0 V8 but sold it a few months ago.

New wheels, maybe lower it a bit. Definitely some clear euro turn signals for the rear.

It’s a 25 year old car with almost 150k miles. It’s a beater.

Unless it’s got some serious can’t-see-in-the-pictures rust issues and burns a quart of oil with every tank of gas, I’ve got to disagree with that assessment

If you’re getting rid of those wheels could I buy them off you? I like that style.

Sure, if you are willing to pick them up in NJ

WANT.
Seriously, I really love the E34. My neighbor has one, so I feel slightly jealous whenever I see it. Yours looks great though!

Very nice. Clean it up a bit and it should be a very nice car.

I know a guy with a wagon of these. I pointed out a weird circle on the boot that looked like it was hiding a hole where something had been removed. Turns out it’s the washer jet for the rear window, it hides in the body until needed, then pops out and shoots a jet of water before hiding itself.
The German over-engineering is real. I couldn’t believe they could make it so complicated.
I can’t find a pic/vid and this is a terrible explanation. But it’s damn cool it is.

Beater? That’s a beautiful car. The condition doesn’t look bad at all.
